Elemental Level – Future will and going to

“Will” (Future Simple):

  • Affirmative: Subject + will + base form of verb.
  • Negative: Subject + will not (won’t) + base form of verb.
  • Interrogative: Will + subject + base form of verb?

“Going to” (Future Intention):

  • Affirmative: Subject + am/is/are + going to + base form of verb.
  • Negative: Subject + am/is/are + not + going to + base form of verb.
  • Interrogative: Am/Is/Are + subject + going to + base form of verb?

These forms are used to express future actions, but “will” typically implies a decision made at the moment of speaking, while “going to” suggests a pre-planned intention or prediction based on present evidence.
